Cincinnati, OH – July 27, 2014 – ArtsWave and the Cincinnati Reds are teaming up for the third annual ‘Art in the Park’ day on Sunday, Aug. 23. Fans can experience music, dance, theater and hands-on art activities in the Kroger Fan Zone for 90 minutes before the 1:10 game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.  The winning team from ArtsWave’s 2015 CincySings competition, Full House from Great American Insurance Group, will sing the national anthem. Brian Isaac Phillips, Producing Artistic Director at Cincinnati Shakespeare Company will throw out the first pitch.

Performances in the ball park will include dance by the Cincinnati Ballet CBII company and Pones, Inc, songs from the musical “Hairspray!” by Cincinnati Young People’s Theater, music from the Bacchanal Steel Drum Band, and more. Costumed characters from The Children’s Theater of Cincinnati and Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park will be on hand for pictures with fans. Cincinnati Art Museum will provide hands-on arts activities and games. Young Professionals Choral Collective will sing “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” at the seventh inning stretch.
