The arts played a major role in celebrating the opening weekend of operations for the Cincinnati Bell Connector, the long-awaited streetcar.

Fanfare trumpets provided by the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra officially welcomed the streetcar. ArtWorks artists decorated sidewalks near select stops with chalk art mini-murals. And celebrity artists rode the streetcar to let everyone know about all venues and programs along the route.

Running from The Banks to Over-The-Rhine, the Cincinnati Bell Connector will give people a new and convenient way to get to arts performances and exhibits. Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati, the Know Theatre, Contemporary Arts Center, Music Hall, Taft Theatre and the Aronoff, for example, all are easily accessible from the route.
