Thanks to everyone who attended ArtsWave’s Circle of African American Leaders for the Arts: A Showcase of African American Performing Arts on Monday, October 29 at Memorial Hall.

This event was designed to showcase some of the extraordinary local African American performing arts talent we have and to demonstrate ArtsWave's commitment to bridging cultural divides in our community through the arts.

More than 170 guests were treated to a reception in the Gold and Green Ballrooms prior to a spectacular show in the Anderson Theater with performances by Annie Ruth, Bi-Okoto, Cincinnati Black Theatre Company, Elementz, Dayton Contemporary Dance Company and 2016 CincySings winning choir P&G Voices of Destiny.

Guests also heard from ArtsWave’s new Vice President of Arts Impact Damian Hoskins and Jay Goodlett, Artistic Director of Education and Outreach for The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati, was the emcee for the event.

This evening was possible thanks to the generosity of Duke Energy and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center as part of the 2019 ArtsWave Community Campaign.
