ArtsWave puts on events throughout our campaign season for existing and potential YP donors:
ArtsWave YP Trivia, March 10 at 5:00 p.m.
Care to test your local arts knowledge? ArtsWave YP will be hosting a virtual trivia challenge featuring questions all about Cincinnati's local arts institutions! Local actor Ernaisja Curry will act as your game host, and there will be prizes for our top finishers (including our ArtsWave whiskey, tickets to local arts events and exhibitions, ArtsWave swag, and more). Get ready to bring your arts trivia A-game! Click the link above for more info and to register.
ArtsWave YP Paint & Sip, April 22 at 7:00 p.m.
Join YPs from our local partner companies and our general community in this one-of-a-kind virtual event! Each attendee will get a kit complete with canvases, brushes, paint, and palette. Log on to the video call from home to be guided through your creation by a professional artist! Participants can interact with the artist guide and each other. Before the event, pick up a bottle of wine or 6-pack of beer from our event partners Fretboard Brewing and Humble Monk Brewing, and enjoy select happy hour pricing while you're there! Finally, share your completed works on Instagram and Facebook - selected attendees can even have their work displayed in the ArtsWave building windows!
ArtsWave YP Grant Recipient Events
There are multiple events and other opportunities to engage among this season's six YP grant recipients. Check them out below and click the links for more info!
Action Tank: Creative Candidate Night
Action Tank is a think tank that partners with artists to research and promote new public policy solutions at the local government level. They will be hosting three creative candidate nights for Cincinnati's 2021 local elections, in which artists will design and lead engagement.
Cincinnati Memorial Hall Society: LAS Underground
LAS Underground is a virtual concert series featuring a diverse lineup of regional performers and bands. This series curates and commissions musicians to perform intimate live-streamed shows from their homes, studios, or currently shuttered/underutilized public spaces.
Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park: Off the Grid
YPs feel more connection to their community when arts events are unique, creative, and participatory, so Off the Grid creates immersive theatre experiences for today. With an innovative artistic approach, interactive performances take place in settings that reimagine the nature of theatrical storytelling.
Contemporary Arts Center: Co-Lab
Co-LAB is an experiment in what is possible. This program is designed to collaborate with the public, create change, alter perspectives, and think creatively. Whether it’s a round table discussion, short film screening, deep dive into self-care, or walk in the community, Co-Lab co-curates a unique experience for all.
ish Festival: YP Emerging Artist Fellowship
Young Professionals in the arts experience barriers, especially in the times that we live in. Each of the Emerging Artist Fellows will innovate new young professional artistic experiences in Cincinnati, and serve as peer-to-peer guides in a more collaborative and thriving ecosystem of young professional-led arts engagement.
Revolution Dance Theatre: InRoads to the aRts
InRoads to the aRts will create a pipeline for young professionals to careers in the arts. From a carefully crafted webinar series, on location training, internship opportunities and networking events, InRoads will provide YPs in Cincinnati with tangible opportunities to become arts professionals.
Young Professionals Choral Collective: Concert Cycles
In this innovative program, young professional music-lovers partner with local professional artists to develop concerts during a six-week-long thematic cycle. Four concert cycles each season allow singers to perform with artists from some of the most respected organizations in town.
Young Professionals Committee
The ArtsWave Young Professionals Committee works to raise money for the ArtsWave Community Campaign and connects young professionals to the arts through engaging arts experiences.
