ArtsWave awarded Neighborhood Arts and Festivals grants to 8 community-based organizations across the Greater Cincinnati region this January, initiating the first cycle of this grant program. Neighborhood Arts and Festival Grants support recurring neighborhood-based arts events that increase the variety and frequency of arts experiences in neighborhoods throughout the region, and create an environment where all members of the neighborhood feel welcome.

ArtsWave is proud to recognize the following grant recipients:

Arts Revival of College Hill (ARCH)- awarded $ 2,500 to support the College Hill Pumpkin Patch Fall Festival. This annual event takes place in October at the Town Hall Park in the heart of College Hill.

Augusta Art Guild- awarded $4,875 to support Art in the Garden, a juried art show that takes place along the banks of the Ohio featuring over fifty local and regional artists, live music, local cuisine and children's activities.

The Dayton Kentucky Civic Activities Board- awarded $5,000 to support the Northern Kentucky Annual Kite Festival.

Dearborn Highlands Arts Council- awarded $3,900 to support LIVE ART, a series of First Friday events held from March to December that includes a monthly opening exhibit featuring an activity or workshop.

Greenhills Community Investment Corporation- awarded $4,725 to support Concerts on the Commons, a concert series at the park village gazebo. 

Madisonville Community Urban Redevelopment Corporation- awarded $4,000 to support the Cincinnati Jazz & BBQ Festival featuring BBQ food vendors, jazz bands, a Mini Art Mart featuring Madisonville artists, a community-created art project, make and take activities for kids and more.

Price Hill Will- awarded $5,000 to support Concerts in the Square, a summer concert series hosted in St. Lawrence Square every other Friday from June through September featuring Price Hill musicians.
  
South Cumminsville Community Council- awarded $5,000 to support the 5th Annual South Cumminsville Family Reunion Picnic to bring residents together to celebrate the neighborhood, honor community members for their contributions to South Cumminsville, and to remember those who have passed.
