Wellness and the Arts

Studies show that integrating the arts into treatment plans can improve overall health outcomes. In fact, every healthcare system in the Cincinnati region incorporates the arts in some way. Here's how ArtsWave embraces the health and wellness benefits of the arts.

Arts4Wellness was a live, socially-distanced wellness program with creative flair offered each month to keep us healthy and hopeful throughout 2021. Events included Yoga at FC Cincinnati's new TQL Stadium, a behind-the-scenes look at how film industry insiders manage stress, healthy cooking with jazz musicians at Findlay market and more.

ArtsWave Pass members received no-cost access to all  Arts4Wellness events, plus complimentary tickets, merchandise, dining deals and more from partners across the region.

The arts improve mental health

A study of 80,000 adults in the U.S. and U.K. shows that just 30 minutes of active arts activities daily may lower anxiety and depression and increase life satisfaction.
