TriHealth and Macy’s Credit & Customer Services Advance to Final Competition on April 8
After a week of online voting, ArtsWave is pleased to announce the winners of the CincySings Wild Card competition: Macy’s All Stars from Macy’s Credit and Customer Services and The Account Notes from TriHealth. Both teams will perform at CincySings, hosted by artist Drew Lachey at Music Hall on Wednesday, April 8 at 7:00 p.m. Teams of employee choirs from 11 top regional companies that participate in the ArtsWave Community Campaign will face-off in this high-energy evening of music and fun.
Ten teams competed in the Wild Card competition this year, submitting videos to ArtsWave for online viewing and voting. Visitors to www.cincinnati.com cast more than 8,000 votes in just one week. “Throughout the week, these two teams were neck-and-neck in the polls,” said Rebecca Bromels, Sr. Director of Communications and Engagement. “The race was so incredibly close and the margin so narrow that we decided we had to advance both teams to the finals.”
Tickets to CincySings start at $20 and are on sale now. Proceeds benefit the ArtsWave Community Campaign. VIP tickets are available for $50, which includes entry into the event and a pre-show reception with celebrity host and judges, sponsored by Accenture. Media partners for CincySings are Q102 and Enquirer Media. The winning team of CincySings will receive a special prize package from ArtsWave and have the chance to sing the national anthem at ArtsWave’s “Art in the Park” Cincinnati Reds game on August 23, and to sing with the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra at Riverbend on June 6.
After internal company Sing-Off events, a Semi-Finals, and the Wild Card competition, the following 11 companies will compete in the CincySings final event: American Modern Insurance Group, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Duke Energy, Fifth Third Bank, GE Aviation, Great American Insurance Group, Horseshoe Casino, Macy’s Credit and Customer Services, P&G, TriHealth, and University of Cincinnati.
As the nation’s first and largest community campaign for the arts, ArtsWave supports the work and impact of over 100 arts and cultural organizations with grants and services. More than 400 companies and 40,000 donors contribute to the effort each year, many through workplace giving campaigns.
Tickets for CincySings are on sale now on the Cincinnati Arts Association website.
